Historic gold mine discovered in 1892 by two German immigrant miners. Offers guided mine tours, on-site gold panning sluices, and stream-side Claim Panning Adventures along historic Battle Creek. Features a mining museum, full-service eatery, and gift shop. Featured on Discovery Channel's Gold Rush. Distinguished as a South Dakota Great Place and recipient of the George S. Mickelson Award for customer service. Open daily April through October, by reservation only November through March.
