Rare metamorphic sunstone (aventurine oligoclase feldspar) found in Delaware County. Produces an orange-gold schiller effect from oriented hematite platelets. Found in stream gravels of Crum Creek and Ridley Creek drainages, and in construction excavation spoil piles. Permission required from landowners.
