Double Eagle #16 Mine offers fee digging for Oregon Copper Bearing Sunstone, one of the rarest gemstones in the world. Located in the high desert of south-central Oregon near Plush. Visitors can lease access to virgin ore piles for shovel and screening, or purchase pre-screened production ore placed on waist-high tables. Free camping at the mine. Tools provided. No running water or electricity — bring all supplies. Kids under 12 free with paying adult.
