Former limestone quarry turned state recreation area on Lake Huron. One of the best Devonian fossil hunting grounds in the Great Lakes — Favosites honeycomb coral, brachiopods, crinoids, bryozoans, and rare trilobites. Also produces Petoskey stones and pyrite. Designated dark sky preserve. No metal detecting.
